At Amp Nova, we believe true power extends beyond batteries and inverters—it’s about empowering communities. As part of our commitment to safety and local engagement, we recently took to the bustling streets of Kampala for a special initiative: distributing free high-visibility reflective vests to the city’s hardworking boda boda riders.

More Than a Vest: A Commitment to Safety

For thousands in Uganda, boda bodas (motorcycle taxis) are the lifeline of daily transportation. The riders, known affectionately as “boda guys,” work tirelessly to keep the city moving. However, their safety on the road, especially during early mornings, late nights, or in low-light conditions, is a constant concern.

Recognizing this, our team in Kampala hit the streets not just with our logo, but with a purpose. Each vest we handed out is designed to make riders significantly more visible to other motorists, helping to prevent accidents and protect these vital members of our community. While our logo on the vest spreads brand awareness, its primary function is to serve as a shield, illuminating their presence on the road.

Connecting Our Mission to the Community

This initiative reflects the core of what we do. Just as our lithium batteries and hybrid inverter systems provide reliable, sustainable power for homes and businesses, we aim to provide safety and support for the people who power Uganda’s economy every day. It’s about creating a visible, positive impact where it matters most.

We are proud to take this step beyond our showroom and into the heart of Kampala. Protecting the boda riders who connect our city is a responsibility we are happy to embrace.
